When are the services?

We meet at The Palace Theatre Sundays at 10AM. Coffee and donuts are available at 9:30AM. Please see the Service Times & Location page for more information.

What should I wear?

We don't have a "dress code" at Relevant. Please wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. We have regulars who dress up and regulars who wear jeans and sneakers. Pastor Mark usually wears a button down shirt and jeans.

Will it be awkward the first time I come to Relevant?

We hope not - we consider you our guest and are excited to have you at the church. We won't purposely single you out, ask for money, or look at you suspiciously.

Why does the church meet in the YWCA and not a church building?

In the Bible, Jesus says that where two or three are gathered in his name, he is there with them. In other words, the church is really made up of people who believe in Jesus Christ, and isn't made of just bricks and mortar. We're not affiliated in any way with the Palace Theatre, but we are thankful that they've allowed us to rent space while we grow and look for a more permanent location.

Why is the church called "Relevant?"

We believe the gospel of Jesus Christ is still the most relevant thing on the planet. Many people reject Jesus not because of Jesus, but because of the way his message has been twisted, politicized, and generally made irrelevant to our everyday lives. We want to show the relevance of Jesus Christ by proclaiming his word via our actions, words, and attitudes and inviting you to do the same.

What are Relevant Connect Events?

Connect Events are designed specifically so we can grow together as a spiritual family. We do things like play mini golf, get ice cream, and go bowling. They're simply a way to connect outside of a "church" environment. Click here to see our current Connect Events

What are Be Relevant Events?

Be Relevant Events are designed to serve our community. We've shown a family-friendly flick at the park, helped out at a midget football concession stand, and done an Easter egg hunt at Mt. Odin Park. They're a way for us to help the city of Greensburg and make it a better place to live. For our current Be Relevant Events, click here.

What if I don't like church?

We hope that you'll find Relevant is a different kind of church. We believe that life is all about knowing and serving God, not simply following traditions, formulas, rules, or regulations. We hold to the core doctrines of our Christian faith, but we're far more concerned about following Jesus together as a family than creating extra procedures and lists.

Are you one of those new postmodern churches that rejects the true gospel?

No. We believe in God's son Jesus Christ and his timeless, infallible word, the Bible. It's the absolute arbiter for all things concerning life and death. We're not trying to change the gospel message. We are trying to break down any man-made barriers that seem to keep people from knowing Jesus and coming to church.
